Eintracht Frankfurt look to start the new year right

By: Ollie | January 30th, 2009

Eintracht Frankfurt look to start the new year right as they travel to face Hertha BSC. Friedhelm Funkel’s die Adler were weighed-down in the first half of the year with a series of difficult injuries and have set firm goals through the end of the year.

In the first meeting of the year, the Berliners easily defeated Frankfurt 2-0, who already were dealing with numerous injuries. Through the break, injuries are clearing up slowly with Alexander Meier ready to go, although it is still too early for Zlatan Bajramović. The Bosnia and Herzegovina international toe injury flared up again and unfortunately he will miss Saturdays match.

The Berliners report full absences and through the transfer season struck perfectly with the addition of two defenders, Croatian international Marko Babić and Leandro Cufré of Monaco.

Lets go Adler!
